Coach Lesley
Lesley began teaching classes to homeschool students in 2014. She has spent the last 6 years developing the STEM Training process.
Her primary role is as a home educator to her three boys. They are her source of inspiration. This is their ninth year officially home educating, twelve if you count the early years! In addition, she is the Founding President of Edison Kids Inc. She founded the 501(c)3 non-profit corporation in 2018 to provide STEM resources to home-educated students in her area. She is also an active part of the FIRST community in the North East Florida Region. Within Edison Kids, she is Coach for FIRST LEGO League Challenge team The Mega Mavericks, the FIRST Tech Challenge team The Metal Mavericks, and Assistant Coach for the FIRST LEGO League Explore team The Mighty Mavericks. She also volunteers as the Head Core Values Judge for the region and a member of the Regional Planning Committee. Lesley is also a Leader for Momstrong International.
Originally from Northern Ireland, Lesley moved to the United States in 2003. Her husband Ken is a Louisiana native. They moved to Florida in 2013 and live on a small farm outside of Jacksonville. They call themselves a Maker family. It is not unusual to find multiple projects on the go at their home.
