Blow up a Balloon Challenge

$74.95

Learning about the States Of Matter is a fundamental scientific concept. In this Challenge, we will explore the three states, how change occurs between the states, and then conduct fun experiments. Finally, we apply the scientific concepts to the real-world application to blow up a balloon!

We will work through the Scientific Method and learn how to document, analyze, and conclude your findings. In addition, we added a bonus on how to put the Challenge together as a STEM or Science Fair Project.

Our STEM Hero for this Challenge is called the Founder of Modern Chemistry!

They will be able to use their Trainee Portfolio to work through the Challenge and record their work.

*Challenge Kits will be shipped to you. However, you will need to provide vinegar and water in this Challenge. The nature of liquids makes them hard to ship. Additional suggested resources are available in the Supplies List Lecture.

We create all our Challenges so that Trainees of any age can use them. Our test Trainee group ranges in age from 7 to 14 years old. However, we have had 5-year-olds successfully complete Challenges with assistance, and even a few parents joined their Trainees to learn to code! We recommend simplifying the task for younger Trainees and helping them with the Challenge Kits. We recommend that older students go more in-depth and that their finished solution is of a higher standard and more detailed. Different learning styles have been taken into consideration. So Trainees can adapt the Portfolio and Lessons to their needs. Ultimately, our program is about working through the process. And you are never too young or too old to learn that skill.

For this Challenge, Trainees over 7 years old should be able to complete it without assistance. However, younger Trainees may require assistance.

Challenge includes

  • Online lesson access
  • Challenge Kits *shipped to you
  • Trainee Portfolio * shipped to you
