What is the STEM Training Entrepreneur Bootcamp?
The Entrepreneur Bootcamp is a homeschool curriculum to help develop business and entrepreneurial skills. This 10-week program walks students through the entrepreneurial journey. Each week we focus on a different element of the business process. Students will have online lessons to work through with videos and challenge sheets. In addition, each week, they will have a live Zoom coaching call with our Head Coach to discuss any issues they may be having and work through problems. At the end of the Bootcamp, students will have an opportunity to showcase their work.
We know finding homeschool business resources that focus on real-world skills is challenging. So, we have done all the planning and prep work for you.
At STEM Training, we believe you are never too young (or old) to develop entrepreneur skills. We designed the curriculum to work for students of all ages and learning abilities. Younger students will need assistance from parents, and older students can take the material to a higher level. Our test group for this Bootcamp was 9 to 14-year-olds.
Why are Entrepreneur skills SO important?
Current estimations say around 16% of the adult workforce in the US are Entrepreneurs, about 31 million people. According to the Small Business Administration, 32.5 million small businesses make up 99% of the total companies in the US. In 2020 over 3 million new jobs were created by small businesses. So the chance your child will own or work for a small business is high.
Entrepreneurs fuel innovation and growth. They are drivers of our economy and progress. They develop ideas that transform our world and create advancement.

Entrepreneurship 101
We start by exploring what it means to be an Entrepreneur. Then, we will look at the skills required and how entrepreneurs change the world and solve problems.

R&D - Research
The week will we explore how you not only identify problems but also how you come up with innovative solutions. We develop those entrepreneurial investigation skills.

R&D - Development
Once an Entrepreneur has an idea, how do they develop it into a business or product? We explore the steps needed to take an idea to a finished product.

Business Identity
It is essential to know who you are as an Entrepreneur and business. During this week, we will explore what forms a business identity.

Branding
This week will explore developing a business brand, including things like a logo.

Market Analysis
Exploring the market you will be entering and identifying your strengths and weaknesses will help ensure success.

Marketing Strategy
It does not matter how innovative or life-changing your product or business is if no one knows about it.

Financials
Financials are the life source of a business, so it is vital that you understand how to keep these critical records.

Business Plan
The business plan is where we bring together all the information about the business to create a plan that guides the business and helps interest investors.

Launch Your Business
In the final week, we turn our focus to launching your business. We will take all our hard work and take the most crucial step an Entrepreneur makes.

No! Each week you will gain access to the lessons, and there will be a live coaching call. Once the ten weeks are over, you will have lifetime access to the Bootcamp as long as we offer it. We record all the coaching calls and make the replay available.
At STEM Training, we believe it is never too early to learn essential skills like Entrepreneurship. A 6-year-old could complete this program with the help of a parent. Our rule is that you can keep it simple for younger students and expect more from older students. Middle & High School students should be able to complete it successfully. Our test group for this Bootcamp was 9 to 14-year-olds.
Not all entrepreneurs had an idea when they decided they wanted to become one. They had a desire to start a business. We spent time working through how to develop business ideas. Working through the process is more important than the end product as this is about building skills they will use in their future.
That all depends on your child. We are an instructional program. We can teach the concepts, but it is up to the students to implement the knowledge. However, a motivated student could walk away from the Bootcamp with a business or product.

No! We will walk students through every part of the process. Students with experience will still learn new skills. We break every aspect down into easy-to-understand steps.
Although we primarily are a homeschool business curriculum, any child can take the Bootcamp.
Students will need access to a computer with internet access to view the online lessons and access to Zoom for the live coaching calls. We take security on the Zoom calls very seriously, and we have safety measures in place. We will discuss things like 3D printing for prototyping; however, it is not essential to have a 3D printer, although they can inspire innovative thinking.
At STEM Training, we are extremely concussion that no two students learn in the same way or with the same abilities. That is why our program is adaptable to each student’s needs. For example, all our lessons include videos and transcripts to offer options. In addition, we designed our challenge sheets so that students can use illustrations, notes, or elaborate prose to complete their work.
